Got Questions? We’re Here to Help!
Who can access Continence Assessments – NDIS?
NDIS Participants who experience incontinence or require continence-related supports may be eligible for a funded assessment. These assessments are generally available under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living, particularly when a continence management plan is needed for ongoing support.
Participants with continence goals in their plan, or those experiencing a change in needs, are typically well-suited for an assessment. If you’re unsure about eligibility, we’re here to help.
What’s included in a Continence Assessment – NDIS?
A Continence Assessment – NDIS is a comprehensive service led by an experienced Continence Nurse Specialist. It includes a detailed review of the Participant’s continence needs, daily routines, lifestyle, and goals.
Following the assessment, we provide a personalised continence management plan, NDIS-ready documentation, and clinically appropriate product recommendations—including samples where available. You’ll also receive product quotes and a service agreement, where ongoing support is required.
Everything is tailored to ensure smooth submission to the NDIS for funding or plan reviews.
How long does a Continence Assessment take?
A standard continence assessment generally takes up to 90 minutes with the Participant and/or their representative, depending on the complexity of the Participant’s needs.
Our nurses take a caring and respectful approach, ensuring Participants are comfortable and fully supported throughout the process. We aim to create a calm, client-led experience that puts the individual’s needs and dignity at the centre.

Can NDIS Continence Assessments be done via telehealth?
Yes, we offer flexible assessment options to suit the participant’s location and preference. Continence Assessments – NDIS can be conducted either in-home or via secure telehealth, making our service accessible to participants across Australia, including those in rural or remote communities. Telehealth assessments follow the same thorough process as in-person visits and are conducted with the same level of care and privacy.
How quickly will you contact the Participant after a referral?
We pride ourselves on our responsiveness. Once a referral is submitted, our team will reach out to the Participant, their representative, or Support Coordinator within 1 to 2 business days.
We’ll confirm the Participant’s availability and schedule the assessment promptly. Coordinators and referrers are kept in the loop from start to finish, ensuring transparency and peace of mind.
Will I receive product quotes and NDIS documentation after the assessment?
Yes. As part of every NDIS Continence Assessment, we provide a full suite of supporting documents including a goal oriented Management plan, NDIS-compliant quotes, and service agreement if ongoing continence support is recommended.
These documents are designed to be transparent and simplify plan reviews, new plan submissions, or changes of circumstance applications. Everything we prepare is easy to read, well-organised, and designed to help secure the appropriate level of support.
Can families, carers, or support workers attend the assessment?
Absolutely. Where appropriate, we strongly encourage family members, carers, and support staff to be part of the assessment process—especially if they assist with daily continence care or advocacy.
Their involvement helps our nurses better understand the Participant’s needs and ensures that the management plan is practical, achievable, and aligned with their day-to-day needs. We’ll always ask for consent before involving anyone else in the conversation.
What happens after the NDIS Continence Assessment
After the assessment, we finalise a detailed continence Management report and prepare all necessary documentation. This is shared with the Participant, their Support Coordinator, or nominated contact. We also offer ongoing support, including education, product reminders, and re-assessment options if needs change.
Participants can feel confident knowing we’re here for the long term—not just for a one-off visit. Our goal is to support dignity, independence, and wellbeing with every step.

So easy to deal with, no mucking around having to fill forms in for NDIS clients, just ring up, place your order and tell them who your Provider is and they send the invoice out, so much easier!!
